Abstract

This paper aims to expose, through a systematic review, the importance of developing environmental awareness in future generations in order to achieve a responsible society with the environment and their actions. For the teaching of natural sciences at Early Childhood Education, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda created by the United Nations will be taken into consideration, in addition to maintaining an active Project-Based Learning (PBL) and experimentation, among other types of active methodologies. The appreciation, care and respect for the natural world is a cross-cutting issue to be addressed in the classroom and beyond it, since environmental degradation is something that concerns us all. Therefore, as teachers we must instill from childhood values such as a sense of belonging and connection with the natural environment, apart from responsibility for human activity, to show them that our actions count, so we must have healthy habits that do not have a negative impact on our planet.
