Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of esports and video game events on urban tourism, using DreamHack Valencia as a case study. Research checks how these incidents contribute to the local economy, affect the branding of the city, and the new visitor attracts profiles, especially among the young and digitally engaged audiences. The study identifies the characteristics of esports tourists and compares the effects of esports events with traditional sports and cultural tourism.
