Abstract
This research analyzes the adequacy of the informative content that the Spanish press
is applying in TikTok. With this objective, this research is approached from a mixed
approach. On the one hand, a content analysis has been carried out on 266 videos published
by eight newspapers: four traditional newspapers (El País, La Vanguardia, ABC and El
Mundo) and four digital native newspapers (20 Minutos, El Español, elDiario.es and
El Huffpost). These findings reached through a quantitative analysis will be complemented
with semi-structured interviews with the managers of the analyzed media
