Abstract

The rise of immersive technologies and accelerated digitisation has led to a profound transformation in the way virtual content is conceived, produced and consumed. This phenomenon is mainly due to the convergence of several factors, including the potential advancement of computational capacity (Guzmán, 2024), the development of increasingly accessible and sophisticated display devices (Xiong et al., 2021) and the expansion of global connectivity that enables real-time interactive digital experiences (Hazarika & Rahmati, 2023). These scenarios have fostered the emergence of a new paradigm in digital creation, characterised by interactivity, personalisation and deep sensory immersion (Liu et al., 2025).
