Los mansos, de Alejandro Tantanian: crónica de un montaje futuro

Abstract

El presente artículo se acerca a la obra Los mansos del dramaturgo y director argentino Alejandro Tantanian, en la que el autor ofrece una propuesta escénica autoficcional a partir de su lectura de El idiota, de Fiódor Mijáilovich Dostoievski. Tantanian une la vida simbólica de algunos de los personajes protagónicos de El idiota con la propia biografía de Dostoievski para, en un juego de apropiación, trasladar la experiencia doble a su propia experiencia personal de escritor para el teatro del siglo XXI, que resulta de las heridas abiertas en el siglo XX de la guerra, migraciones y exilios. Nuestro trabajo parte de estas etapas creadoras añadiendo, a la vez y en la misma línea, la de un grupo de intérpretes dirigidos por el dramaturgo y director cubano Abel González Melo, que en 2021 comienza a montar Los mansos. Juego múltiple, por tanto, que llevará nuestra investigación hasta la genealogía de un proceso en el que el público —incluyendo lectores y lectoras de este trabajo— es parte indispensable para pensar nuestro presente inmediato desde lo que el teatro, ahora y siempre, puede ofrecer al espacio de lo común. This article approaches the play Los mansos (The meek), by Argentine playwright and director Alejandro Tantanian, in which the author offers an autofictional stage proposal based on his reading of The idiot by Fiódor Mijáilovich Dostoevsky. Tantanian unites the symbolic life of some of the leading characters in The idiot with Dostoevsky’s own biography to, in a game of appropriation, transfer the double experience to his own personal experience as a writer for the theater in the 21st century that results from the open wounds in the twentieth century of war, migration and exile. Our work starts from these creative stages adding, at the same time and along the same lines, that of a group of performers directed by the Cuban playwright and director Abel González Melo who, in 2021, begins to stage Los mansos (The meek). Multiple game, therefore, that will lead our research to the genealogy of a process in which the public —including readers of this work— is an indispensable part of thinking about our immediate present from what the theater, now and always, can offer the common space.
