EFFICIENCY ANALYSIS IN INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY PRICING: A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH TO THE COST-PLUS MODEL USING SQL AND PANDAS

Abstract

This Final Degree Project (TFG) looks at how well international pricing models work in the international Medical Technology (MedTech) field. The study underscores the substantial deficiencies of traditional Cost-Plus methodologies within a global marketplace characterized by rigorous regulatory oversight and variable logistical costs. The study employs data science tools such as Python for the creation of synthetic datasets and SQL for the development of a multi-layered Pricing Waterfall. It finds systemic revenue loss and structural problems in the way things are usually done.
