London, Wellcome Library, MS 8004: A Description

Abstract

The aim of this article is to provide a codicological (provenance, collation and materials among other aspects) and palaeographical (marginalia, scripts, numerals, abbreviations, corrections and punctuation system) description of London, Wellcome Library, MS 8004, a fifteenth century manuscript that includes different texts of a number of subjects (astronomy, astrology, history and medicine). Finally, a linguistic description is provided in order to exemplify its period of writing (Middle English period).
