MODELLING AND ESTIMATION OF CRIMINAL SENTENCES USING LOGIC PROGRAMMING

Abstract

Throughout this project, the aim was to develop some kind of tool that could introduce some aspects of computer science into the legal field. The result has been a system that, through some input values that correspond to certain past events, shows us a list of the crimes committed and the range of years corresponding to their prison sentences, so that we can obtain an estimate of what will later be decided by the courts. Specifically, the main part of the project has been implemented thanks to the s(CASP) system. Moreover, we wanted to show another innovative way to model the law through the Blawx application.
