«Going to sporting events is one of the leisure activities with the greatest impact on our society. Spain has a great fan of sports, filling sports stadiums every week, especially in football and basketball venues. The large influx of public often causes amateurs and even professionals, players and referees, to suffer compensable damages as a result of fights, riots or throwing objects. This study aims to provide an answer to the function that civil liability plays in these cases, studying the most relevant cases of recent years and how the courts have repaired the damage caused to sports professionals and other injured fans».
