Abstract
The participation of the business sector in healthcare can lead to improvements in the quality of care, service efficiency and healthcare management. This study evaluates and analyses the Swedish healthcare system as it includes private providers under public funding and regulation. Moreover, a comparative analysis between Sweden and Spain is conducted to identify similarities and differences in order to assess if there are elements of Sweden's model that could be beneficial to incorporate to Spain's healthcare system.
