Abstract
This article analyses temperance through IL Nobile Veneto written by Antonino Collurafi. This text was part of the pedagogical framework of the treatises written in the modern period, was a roadmap for the noble sons of the Serenissima, who, destined for a political career, needed a careful education that included the acquisition of virtues as well as the study of languages, mathematics and laws, order and military discipline. It was, therefore, a document containing the knowledge that would constitute the cultural baggage of the patrizio veneto, the only social leather to administer the authority whose privilege it was to be part of the Maggior Consiglio, the governing body of the Republic.
