THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNIVERSE THROUGH NEW INTERACTIVE DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION

Abstract

The purpose of this End of Degree Project is to demonstrate the great educational utility of the different digital platforms and the contribution they offer us in our work as teachers. These innovative resources and their functionality are easily adapted to new teaching methods, offering a range of possibilities. The use of these platforms, as well as the technological resources necessary to be able to use them in the educational center, arise from their development and growth in recent years, due to both their affordable accessibility and their easy handling. This type of more interactive methodology requires the role of the teacher to guarantee its correct application and ensure that the established educational content and objectives are acquired. The Gamification method helps to maintain the interest of students to increase their motivation through personal satisfaction by developing new skills and abilities in the use of ICTs while they learn and acquire knowledge. The universe is a topic full of educational value capable of providing the objectives and skills that have been worked on, focusing on a more dynamic and flexible teaching process than traditional methods. The creation of interactive activities through the Wordwall platform has been the main tool of this project, since it has a wide variety of different types of activities that have allowed to put into practice its ability to design and demonstrate that the use of these digital resources is a didactic and complementary method to work properly in an Pre-Primary Education classroom. Current methodologies are increasingly digitised, so the use of these virtual resources will be more common in classrooms, which will facilitate their use and implementation. This form of teaching will be decisive for future generations.
