Abstract

The following pages analyze the Spanish audiovisual sector based on two lines of approach: the impact of recent economic crises and the potential of Spanish culture in the context of the global distribution of online content. To do so, the paradigm shift in fiction is addressed, alongside the risks of missing opportunities with the acceleration of the digital migration process and the introduction of data management systems. In addition, authors reflect on the potential for hybridization of cultural expressions from Spain in the face of fierce competition.
