Directores/as: Rubén Arcos MartínThis work attempts to establish a correlation between the national context and the way in which the media cover an event. To this end, the media coverage of the war in Ukraine in February 2023 by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo and the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza has been analyzed. A selection of news items was made, and the topics covered, the frequency of publication and the tone used by both newspapers were studied, subsequently relating them to the political, economic, social and cultural situation in which Spain and Poland found themselves in the chosen period of time.engUkrainian warPolandRussiaSpainMedia coverageNational contextTHE INFLUENCE OF NATIONAL CONTEXTS ON MEDIA COVERAGE.
