    Self-management is of such importance that it constitutes one of the principles of agility. In fact, according to the agile manifesto and scrum principles, agile teams are self-managing and cross functional. Other agile methodologies, such as extreme programming, also include the self-management concept among their basics, as it can have a huge impact on the productivity and motivation of employees and organizations.
