Ítem 3D Localization Method for Near-Field Sources with Virtual Array in the ISM Band(John Wiley and Sons Inc., 2014-11-18) Mora Cuevas, Jonathan; de Haro Ariet, LeandroThe problem of 3D near-field source localization using virtual arrays is addressed. The proposed method is based on a spherical wave steering vector whose performance of 2D direction-of-arrival and range estimation is evaluated via MUSIC-based algorithm. Experimental results in comparison with simulation ones are presented to validate its efficacyÍtem Auto-calibrated MIMO-OFDM Channel Sounder for 3D Spatial Channel Characterization(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, 2010-07-08) Mora Cuevas, Jonathan; Cuellar Navarrete, Luis; de Haro Ariet, LeandroÍtem Frequency Diversity for Spatial Characterization of Wideband Channel with Multiple Antennas(IEEE Xplore, 2009-06-05) Mora Cuevas, Jonathan; Gómez Calero, Carlos; Cuellas Navarrete, Luis; Haro Ariet, Leandro deNew communications systems demand a better understanding of the spatial behaviour of propagation channels. For that purpose, we have designed a new OFDM-MIMO testbed with an antenna positioning system for carrying out measurements campaigns in several environments in order to properly characterize the directional properties of wideband channel. Some combined diversity schemes can be used for better understanding of the spatial behaviour of propagation channel. For that purpose, we have designed a new OFDM-MIMO testbed with an antenna positioning system for carrying out measurements campaigns in several environments in order to properly characterize the directional properties of the propagation channel.Ítem Measurement of diversity gain and capacity on a MIMO-OFDM channel comparing different types of antennas(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, 2009-06-05) Gómez Calero, Carlos; Mora Cuevas, Jonathan; Cuellar, Luis; Martínez, Ramón; de Haro, LeandroIn the last decade, Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems have created a great interest in research. Many works shows an increase in terms of data bit rate by using several antennas at each side of the radio link. In this paper, a novel measurement campaign of a MIMO channels in indoor environment is presented, in order to study the propagation characteristics of these systems so using both polarization and spatial diversity in multi-antenna systems can be evaluated, thanks to the use of three different types of antennas. A new MIMO-OFDM testbed (UMATRIX), designed and implemented in the UPM, has been used to accomplish the measurements. Capacity and diversity gain are studied, focusing on the importance of the channel normalization and comparing single and dual-polarized antennas. Moreover, an indoor-indoor laboratory and office environment has been considered to take into account the antenna effects at 2.45 GHzÍtem New Antenna Array Architectures for Satellite Communication(InTechOpen, 2011-07-27) Salas Natera, Alejandro; Aguilar, Andrés; Mora Cuevas, Jonathan; Fernández , José Manuel; Padilla, Pablo; García-Gasco, Javier; Martínez, Ramón; Sierra Pérez, Manuel; de Haro, Ariet; Sierra Castañer, ManuelÍtem Wideband MIMO Measurement Systems for Antenna and Channel Evaluation(In-TechOpen, 2010-04-01) Gómez Calero, Carlos; Mora Cuevas, Jonathan; Cuellar, Luis; de Haro, Leandro; Martínez, Ramón
