Ítem Las ciudades en la obra de Ingeborg Bachmann(Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, 2011) Serra Pfennig, IsabelÍtem Zu Ingeborg Bachmann: War "die gläserne Decke" in den siebziger Jahren überhaupt ein Thema?(2013-01-08) Serra Pfennig, IsabelIn the first scene of Bachmann's narrative production, as for the female characters--or merely survival before the violent action of male power-- simply the liberation from the traumatic experiences of childhood and adolescence. It is evident in the inconclusive and fragmented novel "The Franza Case", the first from the narrative cycle "Ways of Death", that its central topic is dominated by the search of one's own identity. As an example, the geography and landscape have a symbolic function. Franza runs away from Vienna with her brother in order to escape the insanity that her husband has driven her to and she heads to the North African Coast to look for the clues towards salvation for women in Post-War Europe.
