Trabajo Fin de Grado leído en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos en el curso académico 2023/2024. Directores/as: Antonio Montero Navarro
This Final Degree Project (FDP) focuses on PESTEL analysis, which encompasses political, economic, social, technological, ecological and legal factors, to analyze the effects of COVID-19 on the tourism and hospitality sector. Travel restrictions, social distancing and other government measures are identified as the main factors that had a negative impact on the sector. However, opportunities, such as the implementation of technological changes and incentive measures, are also highlighted. In addition, social effects, such as changes in consumer preferences and demographics, are examined. The FDP concludes by offering suggestions on how companies can survive in this challenging environment. To face future crises in the industry, it is essential to take lessons from this crucial moment.
