This end-of-degree project aims to analyze whether the operations carried out by the international community (international and regional organizations) in the Sahel have been effective in containing terrorism and violence, and in contributing to the stabilization of the crisis that began in 2012. It evaluates the intervention and cooperation between the United Nations, the European Union, and France in their efforts to maintain peace and security in the area. It analyzes the roots of the crisis, examines the current challenges present in this region, and proposes solutions for changes towards an effective international strategy.
