dc.description.abstractThis project identifies disinformation and propaganda as a tool in the conduction of hybrid warfare, where the Ukriane-Russian conflict is taken as a case study. Information, disinformation, misinformation and propaganda notions are identified in the course of the study, as well as the concept of reflexive control. Further brought a discussion of hybrid warfare identified by Hoffman and Gerasimov. The Gerasimov doctrine is discussed, leading to an understanding of the Russian modern policy and its activities in light of the hybrid warfare. Concluding with an analysis of the Russian disinformation campaign conducted from 2014 till 2022, with a major focus on the annexation of Crimea.
