Resumen
In the dynamic landscape of academic pursuits, the quest for student success has been an enduring inquiry. The lens of behavioral economics offers a unique and insightful perspective, illuminating the intricate interplay of psychological factors that influence decision-making and, consequently, student outcomes. This thesis embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted terrain of behavioral economics, investigating eight key components that underpin the journey to student success: loss aversion, present bias, social norms and peer influence, cognitive bias in decision-making, nudges and choice architecture, self-control and willpower, motivation and incentives, and time discounting with delayed gratification.
