Resumen
The relationship between the family and the academic performance of children is a subject that has been widely studied by a variety of different authors and universities, among others.
With this work, the aim is to learn more about the influence that the family environment can have on the academic performance of their children, and which are the most determinant or most influential factors.
For this purpose, a bibliographic review has been carried out through different studies or authors' interventions to reach a series of subsequent conclusions on the existing literature.
The results of this literature review show that, indeed, the family and the family environment are influential in the academic performance and also in the integral development of children. The factors that determine the influence, although there are some that also influence, the ones that do so in a more evident or more significant way, are parental involvement in the education of the children and the family structure since if the children function emotionally in the best possible way, their academic performance will also function optimally.
