Abstract
Venezuela has experienced one of the highest hyperinflations in the history of Latin America, together with nonfunctioning public services, a nearly collapsed national health system, and one of the highest rates of violence in the world, among other problems that materialise the social, economic, political and institutional crises that exists in the country. This has led to a significant wave of emigration, with a substantial number of Venezuelans seeking refuge in various countries, including Spain. This thesis aims to analyse the impact of Venezuelan immigration on Spain while exploring the policy responses of the Spanish government, including measures to facilitate the legal entry and residence of Venezuelan immigrants, as well as programs aimed at supporting their integration into Spanish society.
