Abstract

Abstract: This academic work aims to define neuroeducation, an innovative scientific field education based on brain functioning that integrates knowledge from neuroscience, psychology, and education. Furthermore, explaining the key role of emotional intelligence and the theory of Multiple Intelligences. These methodologies in combination with others, are used to design an innovative cross-curricular education proposal that is implemented in a Primary Education classroom. Moreover, this academic work emphasizes the importance of transforming educators into neuroeducators, professionals capable of integrating neuroeducational principles into their pedagogical practices to design innovative educational proposals. Finally, this paper acknowledges the need of a new education based in neuroscience and emotional intelligence, where students are able to develop the key competences, learn the contents, improve the critical thinking and obtain cognitive and social skills in an enriched learning environment.
