Resumen

For the last few years, artificial inteligence (AI) has become a topic of hope and fear. It has emerged not only as a technological innovation but as a transformative force reshaping both private lives and business alike. As companies across the globe employ AI to increase efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and innovate product offerings, the technology¿s presence in business operations is becoming more and more common. Yet, this rapid integration of AI, as happens with all new technology, comes with critical issues that put in doubt its capabilities. The allure of AI in business is undeniable. From automating mundane tasks to analyzing vast datasets and making complex decisions at speeds that humans can¿t hope to imitate, AI's capabilities are evolving at incredible speed. However, this technology comes with significant ethical concerns: issues of bias from a flawed logic, broader impact on society, like employment, privacy breach and a lack of transparency among other issues. These ethical challenges are not just lack of faith in the tool; the problems have tangible impacts on consumer trust, regulatory compliance, and the long-term viability of business enterprises. Adopting AI responsibly is not just about avoiding harm; it¿s about actively doing good. As AI continues to evolve, the business strategies that incorporate these technologies must also adapt. Businesses can and should promote a future where technology enhances our capabilities without compromising our values. Thus, this thesis seeks to explore how businesses can integrate AI into their operations ethically in a way that follows Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards to ensure that societal welfare and ethical considerations are followed while they adopt this new technology.
