This work is meant to follow the main objective of analyzing the Eurovision Song Contest and proving that the Western cultural shift has indeed been reflected in it, when did it happen and how it occurred. Apart from this, some other objectives have been established, for instance, to see if the shift of society from modernity to postmodernity has also been reflected in Eurovision, and to show how that cultural shift has affected the international relations with new dynamics of soft power and cultural diplomacy, thus showing the importance of culture in the political arena.
