The rapid advancement of technology has brought about a revolutionary transformation in our daily lives, across all areas and around the world. We have become aware of the importance of technology in our lives, particularly in the field of healthcare. Specifically, the integration of data science in the clinical environment has emerged as a radical change, revolutionizing hospital processes and significantly enhancing patient outcomes. This project aims to highlight the importance of implementing new technologies, specifically data science, to obtain valuable information about the care process. This allows for personalized and targeted interventions. Moreover, through the integration of electronic health records, medical imaging data, laboratory data, and patient-reported outcomes, data science provides a comprehensive understanding of patient health and public health epidemiology, facilitating evidence-based decision-making. This study presents a collaborative project conducted at the prestigious 12 de Octubre University Hospital (H12O), that focuses on creating and exploiting three generated datasets derived from the electronic health records (EHR), contained in the Conjunto Mínimo Básico de Datos (CMBD). These datasets were subsequently analyzed to assess the management and impact of specific clinical conditions. Through the analysis of those detailed datasets and the application of data science techniques, this project aims to uncover valuable insights into the outcomes of hematuria in patients receiving treatment in the hospital. By embracing technology and leveraging the power of data science, healthcare providers can optimize processes within hospitals, enhance patient care, and ultimately improve health outcomes. This project underscores the importance of continued innovation and integration of technology to further advance the field of medicine and elevate the quality of care provided to patients.
