Abstract
The diasporic phenomenon has expanded rapidly over the past decades and, with it, its influence on politics. Yet despite its growing importance, it remains a phenomenon that has been little studied by academics. This paper walks through the theoretical conception of diaspora and the different mechanisms they have to influence host states¿ politics. Moreover, in order to comprehend the complete environment of these two diasporas a brief comparison between the US and UK politics will be made. Additionally, this study seeks to increase its understanding through a comparative analysis of the impact that the Armenian and Indian diasporas have had on the United States and the United Kingdom as host countries respectively by analysing their history and organization.
