Resumen

The present Final Degree Project shows the design and implementation of an innovative educational intervention through the creation of an Escape Room for the Primary Education classroom, focused on the area of Natural Sciences. This subject was selected due to its perception as one of the most complex for pupils, a complication that is increased when being taught in English. It would be a further challenge to address in this proposal. It seeks to demonstrate how teaching can be effectively integrated into students' daily lives through playful methodologies. To this end, two essential pedagogical approaches have been studied: Game-Based Learning (GBL) and Gamification. In addition, the project examines from the theoretical basis of the use of the Escape Room in education to its practical implementation in the classroom. The opportunity was given to implement this proposal in a real classroom, which allowed its effectiveness to be evaluated through pre- and post- tests, observation and questioning. The results obtained quantitatively reflect and demonstrate the benefits of using this effective educational tool.
