Resumen
This final degree project investigates about the different innovation factors of Spanish firms in two different sectors, the service sector, that is having a positive development during the last years and the manufacturer sector who is experiencing some barriers on its development. The data used for this analysis was sourced by the PITEC data base, which is a survey with different questions related with innovation, made to Spanish firms and supported by organizations like the INE, FECYT and the COTEC foundation. This survey will provide the variables for the logit econometric model used in the project, chosen for its suitability in handling binary dependent variables, used to predict the probability of firms engaging in internal innovative activities based on the independent variables, such us, cooperation, external financing, size, age... This study remarks the importance of innovation and how it can affect the development of the different sectors of an economy and gives an analytical point of view of the key factors that boost and stop internal innovation of firms from both sectors.
