Resumen
This research project examines the evolution of fashion to the present day and
highlights how consumer thinking has changed and how the trend towards cheaper,
lower quality clothing has led to significant environmental impacts. It also analyses the
growing concern about the negative effects of fast fashion and explores the development
of sustainable fashion in response to these challenges.
The study discusses the principles and benefits of sustainable fashion, explains the
importance of extending the useful life of clothing and the importance of choosing
sustainable materials. It also focuses on responsible production and the working
conditions of employees in the sector.
In addition, it examines international regulations and agreements that aim to regulate
and promote more sustainable practices in fashion, such as the Paris Agreement, the
European Green Deal and the Corporate Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). In sum, the
study examines the challenges facing the fashion industry in the context of sustainable
regulation in the European Union and how these changes affect all parties.
