dc.description.abstract	In this paper we are going to analyse the current situation of the tourism sector, its adaptation to the new technologies of the 21st century and to new types of more digital travellers. As a final objective, this work aims to bring together the greatest number of current technological solutions to improve tourist services and therefore the tourist's life, so that any place or city can consult the current possibilities that can be developed so that they can become smart destinations, like those that already exist. One example is the city of Alcalá de Henares, which is in the technological implementation phase to become a smart tourist destination.
