AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CLASSROOM: SENSORY PROFILE OF THE CHILD WITH ASD

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado aborda el Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) en el aula de Educación Infantil, centrándose específicamente en el perfil sensorial y la estimulación sensorial del niño con autismo, pues la integración sensorial es fundamental para el posterior aprendizaje del niño. Para abordar este tema se ha diseñado una propuesta de intervención didáctica basada en diferentes actividades y juegos. El objetivo principal de esta intervención es favorecer el reconocimiento de los diferentes sentidos y observar las reacciones que provocan los diferentes estímulos en los alumnos diagnosticados con TEA. También se realizará una evaluación para observar la evolución de los niños con TEA y comparar los resultados obtenidos al principio de las sesiones y al final de las mismas.

This Final Degree Project deals with the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Early Childhood Education classroom, focusing specifically on the sensory profile and sensory stimulation of the child with autism, since sensory integration is essential for the child's later learning. In order to approach this topic, a didactic intervention proposal has been designed based on different activities and games. The main objective of this intervention is to favour the recognition of the different senses and to observe the reactions that different stimuli provoke in pupils diagnosed with ASD. An evaluation will also be carried out to observe the evolution of children with ASD and to compare the results obtained at the beginning and at the end of the sessions.
