Nuclear weapons have altered the curse of international relations propelling us into a new era, the nuclear one and urging the development of a proper regulatory framework to contain them and their potential destructive effects. The objective of the thesis is to analyze this nuclear non- proliferation regime¿s architecture and its evolution to determine whether the regime is going through a major crisis that will boost nuclear rearmament. Thus, the work delves into the regime¿s dynamics to figure out how its past successes have transitioned into perceived crisis.
