Resumen
This project examines the digitaization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Spain, highlighting its importance, challenges and opportunities. Digitalization involves the adoption of digital technologies in all areas of the company, while digital transformation implies a profound strategic and cultural change.
The crucial role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in optimising processes and opening up new business opportunities is analysed. Although SMEs can benefit enormously, they face challenges such as lack of resources, shortage of skilled personnel and resistance to change.
For a successful implementation, a clear strategy is recommended, including technology needs assessment, continuous training and gradual adoption of technologies. In addition, the importance of fostering a culture of innovation is stressed.
This Final Degree Project also studies the support of the Kit Digital programme, which facilitates digitalisation through financing and advice. The success stories of Veracetics S.L. and Distribuciones Hoteleras Torrijos S.L. show how these companies have improved their efficiency and competitiveness with this programme.
In conclusion, digitalization is essential for the survival and growth of Spanish SMEs in an increasingly digitised environment, offering vast opportunities if the initial challenges are overcome.
