Ítem A Review of Servitization Theoretical Foundations(OmniaScience, 2021) Ruiz-Martín, Agustín; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaPurpose: This study seeks to analyse how the servitization topic has been addressed through different theoretical approaches. More specifically, the aim is to answer two key questions: What theoretical approaches have been used to study the phenomenon of servitization? What specific aspects of the servitization process have been analysed through each theoretical approach? Design/methodology/approach: This paper adopts a systematic literature review. The first step involves a descriptive analysis, which is then followed by a thematic one. Findings: The results show that the topic of servitization has been analysed according to the main boundary of the firm theories (Resource-based view, Game theory, and Transaction cost economics) and to organizational boundaries (Contingency theory and Resource dependence theory), among others. From the perspective of these theoretical frameworks, the following topics have received the most scholarly attention: Performance, Capabilities, Supply Chain Management, Business Model, Strategy, and Sustainability. Originality/value: Observations are made on the relevance that diverse theories have on the development of research into servitization. The most suitable theoretical lenses are recommended for future research.Ítem Apuntes Dirección de Operaciones en Empresas de Servicios(2023-07-17) Martin-Peña, Maria-Luz; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaApuntes de la asignatura Dirección de Operaciones en Empresas de Servicios, Grado en Administración y Dirección de EmpresasÍtem Changes in the intellectual basis of servitization research: A dynamic analysis(Elsevier, 2018) Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Pinillos, María-José; Soriano-Pinar, Isabel; García-Magro, CristinaÍtem Characterizing digital service innovation: phases, actors, functions and interactions in the context of a digital service platform(Emerald, 2023-09) Narvaiza, Lorea; Campos, José Antonio; Martín-Peña, María Luz; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaDigital service innovation (DSI) is a type of technological innovation that is recognized in practice in the innovation structure of companies. Given the breadth of digital technologies that enable digital services and the variety of these services, analysis is needed to discern the nature of these services, as well as the process that culminates in co-innovation. The literature on DSI is fragmented and spread across multiple research areas. This fragmentation impedes conceptualization of the elements that constitute DSI. This paper describes the nature of DSI through the process and elements of initiation, adoption and routinization of DSI in the context of digital service platforms (DSPs). This paper presents a single exploratory case study of a provider of a leading digital solution in customer relations. The data analysis is based on abductive reasoning. The paper conceptualizes the nature of DSI and describes the process and elements of DSI (phases, actors, functions and interactions). It contributes to building a common language for DSI research in service management. The analysis shows that DSI in DSPs is synonymous with co-innovation. This paper offers insight into how co-innovation occurs, using hybrid agile methodologies with the coordination of multiple actors and multilateral interactions. The originality and value of the study reside in its conceptualization and analysis of what is meant by DSI. The components of the service and the technological requirements for not only provision but also ideation and development appear to be inseparable. The study unveils the mechanisms that turn a digital service solution into a co-innovative proposal. This knowledge can facilitate scalability in digital services.Ítem Colección de Actividades Dirección Operaciones Empresas Servicios(2023-07-17) Martin-Peña, Maria-Luz; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaColección de actividades para la asignatura Dirección Operaciones en Empresas de Servicios, del Grado en Administración y Dirección de EmpresasÍtem Colección pruebas evaluacion Dirección Operaciones Empresas Servicios(2023-07-17) Martin-Peña, Maria-Luz; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaColección pruebas de evaluación de la asignatura Dirección de Operaciones en Empresas de Servicios del Grado en Administración y Dirección de EmpresasÍtem Digital transformation for a circular economy: insights from co-word analysis(Springer, 2023-10) Soriano-Pinar, Isabel; Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Bermejo-Olivas, SaraThis work aims to analyze the relationship between Digitalization and the Circular Economy, identify the key terms and concepts used in the scientific literature, and examine their relationship to each other to produce a set of guidelines that show the application of digital technologies in different Circular Economy implementation practices. The strategy map showing the evolution of the relationship between them is presented. The results show which authors, articles, and journals have the greatest influence on the subject. By analyzing co-words, a map of the most important themes was created, showing how digital transformation has evolved to establish the transition of companies to the Circular Economy. Different thematic approaches such as sustainability and the use of digital technologies to promote different Circular Economy practices are proposed. This study provides an analysis of the use of digital technologies in implementing the Circular Economy. It highlights successful initiatives and the challenges companies and governments face in this process and examines the changes in business models and industrial practices. Recommendations for future research are proposed to simultaneously promote Digitalization and the Circular Economy and contribute to the achievement of long-term sustainability goals.Ítem Dirección de operaciones en servicios - Colección de Apuntes y Diapositivas(2022-09) Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Martín-Peña, María LuzEn este documento se recogen los apuntes en forma de diapositivas de los temas que conforman el temario de Dirección de Operaciones en Servicios, que se imparte en el Grado de Ciencia, Gestión e Ingeniería de Servicios en la URJC.Ítem Dirección de operaciones en servicios - Colección de ejercicios(2022-09) Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Martín-Peña, María LuzEn este documento se recoge una serie de ejercicios y actividades que conforman las actividades prácticas de la asignatura Dirección de Operaciones, que se imparte en el Grado en Ciencia, Gestión e Ingeniería de Servicios en la URJC.Ítem Dirección de operaciones en servicios - Colección de Pruebas de Evaluación(2022-09) Díaz-Garrido, EloísaEn este documento se recogen las pruebas de evaluación de la asignatura Dirección de Operaciones, que se imparte en el Grado en Ciencia, Gestión e Ingeniería de Servicios en la URJC.Ítem GUÍA DE ESTUDIO DIRECCIÓN DE OPERACIONES EN EMPRESAS DE SERVICIOS(2023-07-17) Martin-Peña, Maria-Luz; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaGuía de estudio de la asignatura Dirección de Operaciones en Empresas de Servicios, del Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas semipresencialÍtem Impact of technological innovation on digital entrepreneurship and the effects on the economy(Springer, 2023) Redondo-Rodríguez, Lola; Pérez-Bustamante Yábar, Diana C.; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaDigital entrepreneurship is a recent phenomenon that has emerged owing to various factors, including technological innovation. This kind of entrepreneurship is currently implemented in many countries and has the potential to boost the economy and reduce poverty by creating employment and self-employment. This paper primarily looks to analyse the influence of technological innovation on the growth of digital entrepreneurship, and its effects on the economy through growth in employment. In the absence of any systematic review on this subject, this study aims to map the relevant research and study the relationship between technological innovation and digital entrepreneurship. A Systematic Literature Review methodology based on a sample of 76 papers from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, published between 1990 and 2022, has been used to identify, select, and evaluate published research. The results confirm that technological innovation is an important driver of digital entrepreneurship, but it needs to be combined with other key factors, such as digital knowledge and skills. This study contributes to existing literature by providing a more realistic view of what digital entrepreneurship means for individuals’ prosperity and generates valuable knowledge to create necessary conditions to promote sustainable and successful digital entrepreneurship. It also identifies several future lines of research that should offer meaningful value to academics and practitioners.Ítem Managing Employee Self-Esteem in Higher Education: Impact on Individuals, Organization, and Society(Emerald, 2024-03-28) Gómez-Jorge, Fabiola; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaOrganizations increasingly promote the health and well-being of their employees. There is a growing need for organizations to develop a long-term humanistic approach towards their workforce. This study aims to examine how Self-Esteem influences the Organization, the Employee and Society within the context of higher education institutions. The research has been carried out among the Teaching and Research Staff of a higher education institution in Spain. For this, a structured questionnaire was used. Data analysis was conducted using 272 valid questionnaires. A linear regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between Self-Esteem and the variables of the model. We identified a positive correlation between Self-Esteem and Productivity, Job Satisfaction and Altruism, where significant differences were observed according to gender, age, seniority, and professional category of the teaching staff. The results revealed that teachers with high Self-Esteem are more productive, satisfied and participate in more altruistic activities than their counterparts with low Self-Esteem. This study reveals the importance that worker Self-Esteem has on their behaviour in the work environment and in society as a whole, to improve the overall results of the organization. We identified Self-Esteem as an attribute that improves Productivity, Job Satisfaction and Altruism, that can be used to reduce job turnover intention and improve job retention levels, positively affecting the organization. We also contribute to the achievement of some Sustainable Development Goals. This study offers a theoretical contribution by extending the application of Social Learning Theory to the context of Self-Esteem within higher education institutions.Ítem Mapping the research landscape: exploring the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship and the circular economy(Emerald, 2024-08-28) Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Soriano-Pinar, Isabel; Bermejo-Olivas, SaraPurpose: The analysis of current research trends in a specific research topic provides a starting point for future research. Their contribution to firm performance is analyzed. This paper presents a theoreticalmodel that captures the relationships between the analyzed variables. Drawing on the Spanish Business Strategy Survey, hypothesis testing is conducted using data on 828 Spanish industrial firms. Linear regression models are built to capture the effect of each variable on firm performance and the type of interaction between the variables. Servitization and digitalization are positively related to firm performance. Digitalization positively mediates the relationship between servitization and firm performance. The mediating effect of digitalization contributes to differentiating between the direct and indirect effects of servitization on firm performance. The paper provides a useful analysis framework for firms to evaluate servitization and digitalization as successs trategies. It is proposed that firms must simultaneously commit to digital transformation and the incorporation of services to createvalue, especially in business-to-businesssettings.Servitization and digitalization interact to exert a greater influence on performance. The paper contributes to the theory on service strategy by providing an analysis model that includes digitalization as a mediator of the relationship between servitization and firm performance. Digitalization may provide a mechanism to unlock the benefits of servitization and there by enhance firm performance.Ítem The digitalization and servitization of manufacturing: A review on digital business models(John Wiley & Sons Ltd, 2018) Martín-Peña, María Luz; Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Sánchez-López, José MaríaThe digitalization and servitization of manufacturing lead to competitive advantages through innovative digital business models. The increase in competition has led many manufacturers to search for customized solutions through servitization. In the present study, a systematic review of literature informs on how the field is structured and the key concepts are defined.Ítem The origin and evolution of the concept of servitization: aco-word and network analysis(Emerald, 2022) Pinillos, María José; Díaz-Garrido, Eloísa; Martín-Peña, María LuzThepurpose of this paper is to analyze the origins and evolution of the concept of servitization by studying the definitions of servitization provided in the literature. Servitization represents an academic field that has grown rapidly since its inception. However, the conceptualization of servitization varies greatly, in part because of the number of studies on this topic and the fact that it has been analyzed in arange of disciplines using a number of theoretical approaches. There is a need to standardize the vocabulary to create a general definition that can support the developmen to ftheory in this domain and help legitimize servitization as a researcharea. This study conducts a systematic, quantitative analysis of abroad set of definitions of servitization. Specifically, this study performs content analysis (combining co-word analysis and social network analysis) and consensusanalysis. This studydevelops a strategic diagram to represent the morphology of the research network. The results show a low degree of consensus among scholars regarding the concept of servitization. This study proposes a definition that should be widely accepted thanks to its inclusion of the core terms from other definitions. Explicit recognition of multiple approaches to defining the term can help practitioners and researchers. Predictions about future progress in this area are discussed. A universal definition of servitization is proposed based on the results of co-word and networka analysis.Ítem The relation between Self-Esteem and Productivity: An analysis in higher education institutions(Frontiers, 2023-01-11) Gómez Jorge, Fabiola; Díaz-Garrido, EloísaDue to the importance of academic training, allowing upward socio economic mobility, and being key to getting out of poverty, as indicated by the United Nations in its 2030 Agenda, investment in quality education is key.
