Abstract
Las empresas de alojamiento están viviendo un escenario complejo donde los canales tradicionales de ventas están modificando su forma de trabajar y han emergido nuevos intermediarios que utilizan las nuevas tecnologías para llegar hasta el cliente final y que cobran excesivos costes de intermediación. En este nuevo escenario los hoteles o empresas de alojamiento deben tomar las riendas y buscar nuevos canales de ventas que les ayuden a rentabilizar las ventas, es decir, minimizar los costes de intermediación. Y por eso, este trabajo de investigación utiliza la metodología del caso para analizar con profundidad cómo los hoteles independientes de cuatro estrellas están adaptándose y rentabilizando las redes sociales como nuevo canal de ventas. De la conclusión de este análisis y junto a la aportación de los expertos se ha desarrollado un Modelo Social o PGRSC que pretende ayudar a las empresas de alojamiento a canalizar las ventas a través de las redes sociales y de esa forma maximizar sus beneficios.
