A framework for participatory decision support using Pareto frontier visualization, goal identification and arbitration

There is a growing interest in promoting participation of lay stakeholders in public decision making processes, possibly with the aid of Internet based systems. This implies supporting non-sophisticated users and, consequently, developing user- friendly, yet rigorous, participatory decision support methods.
