dc.description.abstractThis thesis has been developed during the years in the research group on Nonlinear Dynamics, Chaos Theory and Complex Systems of the URJC. Its main purpose is the study of the unpredictability in chaotic dynamics. Despite the utilization of specific dynamical systems, one of the ambitions of the present thesis has been to find global results and techniques useful for a broad community of scientists. After an introductory chapter preparing the general framework, my investigations are collected in chapters that correspond to different research articles. This thesis is eminently nonlinear, both in its content and in its structure. The different topics are interwoven, connected by feedback loops in such a way that the contents does not follow a straight path, but a dendritic growth conveys a more accurate picture of its development.es
