Polyethylene with MoS2 nanoparticles toward antibacterial active packaging

Resumen

This study demonstrates the efficacy of Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles in conferring antimicrobial properties to linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) films for active packaging. The composite films exhibit enhanced hydrophilicity, reduced roughness, and altered barrier properties without compromising the mechanical strength of the base LLDPE matrix. MoS2 nanoparticles hold promise as a versatile filler for developing antibacterial active packaging materials.
