Abstract
Las cartas de obligación de deuda en los protocolos notariales de Toledo a comienzos del siglo XVI señalan una intensa actividad notarial en los meses de ferias, según el número de otorgamientos de artesanos y mercaderes en actividades económicas y financieras, permitiendo conocer el poder de los notarios a través del formulario documental en la aplicación de un derecho notarial castellano y local a favor de la élites económicas.
